FOWLER, Joann L. April 15, 1952 January 7, 2019 Joann was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She passed away peacefully January 7 at her home in Spokane, Washington at the age of 66, with her loving husband Bill Fowler at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Pershing Brown and Anna Mae Jacobs; and her son, Nathanael Elliot Fowler. Survivors include her husband Bill Fowler; their children: Priscilla Anne (Fowler) Evans and her husband, Tad Evans; Benjamin James Fowler and his wife, Sarah Fowler, daughter, Miriam Rose (Fowler) Liska and son-in-law Jason Liska; five grandchildren: Cooper Evans, Caleb Evans, Faith Liska, Rebekah Liska, and Cedar Liska. Her siblings include her sisters, Patricia Derr, Nancy Hummer, and Charlotte Atkinson, and brother, Woodrow Brown, Jr. Joann will be laid to rest, Friday, January 18, at the State Veteran's Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA. Those who wish to attend this service should arrive no later than 1:15 pm. The service will begin at 1:30 pm. A public memorial service celebrating Joann's life and legacy will take place Saturday, January 19, at 10:00 am, at North Church, 8303 N. Division, Spokane, WA. Longtime friend and Pastor, Mike Meade, will officiate the service. This memorial service will be followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. Joann requested that memorial gifts in her honor be made to Church Without Walls, 2904 W. Weile Ave., Spokane, WA 99208.
