KARNES, Lois P. (Kjos) Starr
(Age 83)

Born August 5, 1927 in Bottineau, North Dakota and passed away February 19, 2011 in Spokane, Washington. Lois was a graduate of Bonner's Ferry High School, after which she moved to Spokane. During WWII she worked at Galena Air Force Base sorting bolts. She was a graduate of Kinman Business College and retired from J.J. Newberry at University City in 1980 where she was an office manager. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Adam Karnes; son James Starr; daughter Darlene (Dennis) Rock; extended family Lana (John) Gonda; grandchildren: Dezerae (John) Gamble, Christa (Nathan) Stull, Andrea (Chris) Sherwood and Michelle Shewell; and seven great-grandchildren. Lois is also survived by sister Eileen Morey; brother Don Kjos; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Starr; parents Paul and Lillian Kjos; brothers Burnen Kjos and Clayton Kjos; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or the .
