BLINCOW, Marilyn

Marilyn Blincow passed away peacefully in her Rancho Cucamonga, CA home on Tuesday, February 15th, 2011. She was born in Spokane Washington in June, 1933 to parents Daniel and Vera Sebring. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Donald Blincow, a nuclear physicist, also from Spokane. Marilyn and Donald met and graduated at North Central High School. Don went into the Marines and Marilyn joined him in Florida for two years where they had their first daughter, Brenda.
They returned to Spokane and resided at the Glover Mansion and were the care takers there and had their second daughter Denise. They moved to Seattle in 1959 and had their third daughter Diane, and then three years later their son John.
Marilyn and Don moved to CA. in 1963. Years later Marilyn went back to College and became a Juvenile Counselor Police Officer for 28 years. Marilyn and Don, along with their family, built a vacation home at Diamond Lake near Newport, WA and another one in Big Bear, CA. She and her husband also loved to travel, visiting six of the seven continents over the years. Marilyn is survived by her sister Loretta Rhodes, and brother Richard Sebring, both of Spokane, WA. Her daughters Brenda Yahne and Denise Blincow live at Diamond Lake and her daughter Diane Blincow and son John Blincow live in Los Angles. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren, Ryan Yahne and wife Kim Yahne, Kevin Yahne, Henry "Hank" Graves, and Rachael Yahne, and two great-granddaughters, Julia and Lila.
A memorial service will be held at the Glover Mansion on Saturday, April 16th, from 3 to 6 pm.
