MIKOS, Monetta

Monetta "Mikie" Mikos, born January 18, 1920 in Van Buren, Arkansas, passed Friday April 1 2011. She had been in the loving hands of the V.A. Hospice staff. She had a zest for life. Her hobbies were horseback riding; square dancing, sewing and quilting; but most of all she loved spending time with family. She will be missed by all that knew her. One family member put it best this way. In times of great sorrow it's nice to have family that you can lean on. The world has been blessed with the life of a great woman, Monetta Marie Mikos!! She has loved with all her heart and then some! She has raised four wonderful children who I am blessed to have as my father my uncles and my hero, my aunt. She passed down a sense of humor that makes this family fun and always a place you never want to leave. As I watch the last few days of her life I look in her baby blues and wonder how we will ever survive without her here. Then I look into the faces that surround me and I see the light she has put in all of us. I will love you till the end of my days and then some Grandma!! Forever and always. Service will be held at E. 14303 Sprague Avenue, in the Rec Room, Saturday, April 9, 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VA Hospice Center at the VA Hospital.
Thank you for all you have given us and know you take a little of all
of us with you, but we will keep all of you with us always.
