They had five children, Colleen, Glenda, Dee, Terry and Don. They moved from southern Idaho to Spokane in 1945, and resided in her present home for 63 years.
She was a talented seamstress and many friends and family were owners of her beautiful creations. She loved to read and spent hundreds of hours on counted cross-stitching. She was legendary for her homemade rolls. She was a very active member of the LDS church and was the oldest member in the Spokane Valley Stake Center.
Olive enjoyed her large extended family and friends. She was known for her sense of style, always looking her best. She was independent and able to live on her own until the last week of her life. Olive died peacefully on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011.

She is survived by her children Colleen Linza (Tony), Glenda Hammer, Dee Sparrow (Lynne), Terry Sparrow (Judy), Don Sparrow (Dori); 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
