Sandra June

Sandra June Ayars of Spokane passed away Friday, January 14, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sandy was born in Renton, Washington on June 30, 1952, the oldest of ten children, to George and Laura Hastings. After spending most of her childhood in Kent, Washington, Sandy graduated from Colville High School in 1970. She then attended Spokane Falls Community College where she met Albert Lee Ayars Jr., her husband of 33 years. Sandy was a talented graphic and fine artist whose career spanned many years that included agencies and clients throughout the Spokane area. Her enjoyed times at Spirit and Priest Lakes inspired many of her paintings. She was a devoted and loving mother. Sandy is survived by her husband Lee, her son Albert, her parents, sisters: Kathy Ayers, Janet Nelson, Nancy Sliman, Patty McClean and brothers: Ben, Gary, Marty, Dan and Ron Hastings and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Sandy's life will be announced in the future.
