HARMS, Thelma Louise (Age 88) Thelma Louise Harms of Spokane, Washington, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018 at the age of 88. Thelma was born in Potlatch, Idaho on May 28th, 1930. She was a graduate of Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington. Thelma was married to Stanley Harms on February 14th, 1953. They were married for 48 years until Stanley passed in 2001. Thelma retired from the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education as a WSU employee, where she worked in admissions. Her main focus and passion was her family and making sure that she was involved in attending as many of her grandkids' events as possible. Thelma is survived by her three children, Diane Hansen (Greg), Gayle Stanley (Doug Smith), Doug Harms (Jill); grandkids, Whitney Stanley, Erik Hansen, Kristen Hansen, Drew Harms and Cameron Harms. She is also survived by brothers-in law Gary Harms (Kay) and Jerry Schelling as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Harms, parents Peter and Jonetta Oien and all nine of her brothers and sisters. The memorial service will be held on January 26th at 3:00 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 9706 N. Division St. Spokane, WA.
