In Loving Memory

William DeHart passed away January 30, 2011 in Spokane Valley, WA. He was born May 20, 1927 in Elton, WI, the son of Richard and Sarah DeHart. Rich grew up in Wisconsin and at the end of WWII he followed in ther footsteps of his three older brothers and joined the Army Air Corp. He spent 16 years with the Army Air Corp and U.S. Air Force serving in the Berlin Airlift, Far East (Japan) and was discharged from McConnell AFB in Wichita, KS. He joined the Haysville, KS, Police Dept. and served several years as a police officer before moving to Spokane, WA to join his brothers at Self Service Furniture. He worked for Self Service Furniture from the early '60s until retiring as the manager of the MIssoula, MT store in 1989 when he moved back to Spokane. Over the years, he loved camping and fishing around Superior, MT or feeding all of the neighborhood squirrels and birds. He was from a family of 15 children and is survived by one brother, six sisters, his wife June DeHart of Spokane Valley and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request, no memorial services will be held. Neptune Society was in charge of the cremation service.
