(Age 59)
Passed away August 18, 2012, in Spokane Valley, Washington. He was born on April 7, 1953, to James and Jacqueline Pieroni in Spokane, Washington. He was a drummer in local rock bands, including Hot Stuff, The Reactors, The Cads of Badness, and most recently The Perones. He formed a duo with his brother, Jon Pieroni, who preceded him in death. He had a passion for gardening and landscaping. He enjoyed time making his yard in Otis Orchards beautiful. He mowed a croquet course into the lawn for BBQ gatherings.
He is also preceded in death by his parents. Mark is survived by his long-time partner, Sara Ashbaugh; daughter, Samantha Smith; siblings Johna Brown, Guy Larrango, and Cary Peironi; niece, Jessica Brown; nephews, Michael, Jonathan, and Justin Brown.
A celebration of Mark's life will take place on Sunday, September 16, 2012, 4:00-8:00 PM, at Bluz at the Bend, 2721 N. Market, featuring Cary Fly. Mark - I have so many memories of the crazy things we did growing up on 6th Ave. as neighbors in the 60's,(including our fabulous lip-sync Beatles shows in the garage, complete with wood & cardboard replicas of their instruments!). You and Jon were a part of our family for most of my childhood. You even inspired the first song I ever wrote(at about age 5!). Though it's been years since then and our lives diverged as we got older, you are both missed greatly by all of us who knew you. You had one of the biggest, softest hearts of anyone I've ever known. We talked a lot the last time I saw you, reminiscing about our childhoods and where we had ended up.
I met you and Jon before I even turned 5, and thought you were the coolest guys I'd ever known. Still do.

I know that in heaven you will shine like the brightest star in the sky. That when it rains, you will be washing away our sorrow and pain. When the sun shines you are there to brighten our day and let us know that everything is ok. With every sound of a drum, we will know you are playing your heart out loud enough for all of us to hear. May you rest in Peace and Comfort in the land of heaven. I won't say goodbye, I'll just say, I'll see you later.
