Steve, you have always treated me like one of your own; as did your mother. I remember going fishing for my very first time, at a very young age, it was you that took me. Scott didn't want to go and I was so excited. We were in Seattle on a bridge, I put my pole in the water and thought I caught a fish; you told me it was probably a crawdad. I had no clue what that was, I pulled it up and you showed me the claws and eyes. I have developed relationships with your children, two of which were my best, at different times in my life, when I needed a friend. Tanya and I did some silly things as children and teenagers. Denise and I had our special times too. Unfortunately, life moved on and I left Spokane and didn't keep in touch with anyone. No lie, You crossed my mind two days ago as I was telling my husband (for the 3-4th time) the story of me hanging out with you fishing when I was little. At that time, it was critical for me as I never knew my father. You were like a father to me Back then and I will regret not keeping in touch. You are always in my thoughts because my childhood has memories of you; and will continue to be in my heart. I don't think you knew how special you were to me. You made me love fishing, I continue to love it to this day. I did love your home in Kent, it was like being in the woods, when I saw you so long ago. God bless his family, be with everyone of his children. Lord bring his family peace and show them grace. AMEN

Not gonna lie, you scared the hell out of me the first few times I met you. You were big, burly, and gruff.
Then I figured you out. You weren't so tough. You made me feel welcome into your family with a smile. I
am forever grateful for the gift of your son and the honor to have been able to call you my father in law.
We will miss you terribly. Fly high with the eagles.
Love you, Shelby

I remember the first time Scott took me to meet you and Marge we're renting that house in Kent. You tried to tell Scott we had to sleep in separate rooms, then Scott said Dad we are married and you didn't believe us. Lol I will never forget all the good times or how much you and marge did for me and the kids! Love you and will miss you Dad! R.I.P
