Penny Rae Fine was a generous, loving, and amazing wife. mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all. Penny married her high school sweetheart, Gary Fine, in 1961. They spent their first years of marriage traveling before settling in Pullman, WA. There, Penny worked at the WSU Student Book Store and was involved for many years in the Junior Miss Program. She joined Beta Sigma Phi in 1971 and made many lifelong friends. In 1976, Penny and Gary moved to Kennewick, WA where she joined the Kennewick chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and eventually joined the Beta Alpha Masters Chapter. While living in the Tri-Cities, Penny chaired the Cool Desert Nights event for 9 years and was a past President of the Richland Chamber of Commerce. She worked for Hertz Car Sales in Pasco, WA for 31 years before retiring to spend time with her 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She spent her last years doing the things she loved most: spending time with her family and friends at their place at Clearlake and caring for her beautiful flower gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Fine; brother Don Kukuk (Sandi); her daughters, Dawn Fine and Debbie Richmire (Dave); her grandchildren: Darcy Hutchins, Kira Kelm (Rob), Kiel Turner (Jenn), Kyli Erickson (Jessy), Kenzie Richmire, Bo Richmire, Sabrina Richmire (Matt); 17 great-grandchildren; nieces, Yvette Kukuk, Rachelle Kukuk; and 4 great-nieces. At her request, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery and Family Support Center in Kennewick, WA.
