Lois Fowble Obituary

FOWBLE, Lois Marie 96, of Springfield, formerly of Enon, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 30, 1922, in New Paris, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles L. and Gladys M. (Perrin) Bevins. Lois is survived by her husband Robert of 75 years. Lois and Bob were devoted to each other and loved to serve the community together. They were part of the founding of the Enon Apple Butter Festival and were a driving force that started the Enon Historical Society. Following the time when her three children left the house, she started her studies to become a nurse. Lois was passionate about her career as an LPN and loved her patients. She is survived by her husband, Bob, her children: Robert Lee (Connie) Fowble, Janice Marie Wildman, and Karen Ann (Herb) Vadney; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, sister, Martha Pentecost, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon and Herbert and her son-in-law, Jon Wildman. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 12th from 4-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Ken Woode officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Enon Historical Society or the Northridge United Methodist Church. Jan, Karen and Bob,
I am torn up inside at losing Lois, this time of year is when I usually get to spend quality time visiting with her and your father at Apple Butter. Please know that Patrick and I both will miss her dearly. I am scheduled to work the AB tent tomorrow and I think that is what your mother would want, to see things go on as planned.
Love and Prayers,
Brenda Murphy

I am so sorry about the passing of your Mother. What a gracious lady. I will remember her this weekend at the Apple Butter Festival. Ruth Mills

Bob, Janice, and Karen, you have my deepest sympathies. I met your mom years ago and she was a sweet and dear lady. May you know that with God she will always be with Him and resting with him.
