News Death Notice

WELLIFORD, Aaron M. lovingly known to his friends as "Boogie-D" went home May 3, 2013. He was born June 11, 1979 in Springfield, Ohio to Linda (Trapp) Welliford and Mark Thomas. He was a graduate of Springfield North High School and attended Clark State Community College. He was an entrepreneur and co-owner of Candyland Neighborhood Store. Aaron loved music, dancing, basketball, cars and family. He never met a stranger. He is survived by his daughter, De'Arion Welliford, his mother, Linda Welliford, his sisters, Jeanette (Sean) Reeder, Dawn (Carlos) Morris, Chaleen Welliford, Marquita Thomas, Markisha Thomas, Chantily Richardson, Brittany Welliford, his brothers, Clarence (Cheri) Welliford, Eric Clark, Mark (Jasmine) Thomas Jr., Antwon (Angel) Welliford, his grandmother, Clarissa Jones, his uncles, Daniel Threats, David Threats, Brian Jones, his aunt Shirley (Roy) Bradford, and great aunts Grace Bennett and Betty Champion. A host of nieces, nephews and friends, his God-sons, Na'Marr Ramey and Ja'heim Burton and his honorary brother, Norris "Slick" Mitchell and Neandra Ramey the mother of his child. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark A Thomas, his step father, Joseph A Welliford, and his uncle George "Bubba" Trapp. Visitation will be Friday May 10th from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. in Restored Life Ministries. Burial in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
