Augusta (Gus) QUINTON

News Death Notice

QUINTON, Augusta "Gus" 87, of Springfield, passed away Wendesday, March 6, 2013 in his home. Gus was born on August 23, 1925 to the late James and Parthina (Wilson) Quinton in Perry County, Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Odell Noble, in 1952, and attended the Mayo Vocational School in Paintsville, KY, specializing in factory maintenance work, and was also a Mason. In the 60's, Gus and Odell relocated to Springfield, Ohio. Outside of work, Gus enjoyed fishing whenever he could and working in his garage, he was also a member of the I.B.E.W. Gus is survived by his wife, Odell; Sons, Augusta Jr. of West Liberty, Billy Ray (Edina) of New Carlisle, Jeffrey Alan (Cynthia) of Springfield, Ricky Dean (Gail) of Kettering; daughter, Katherine M. Westfall of Springfield; sister, Lynda Lou Robinson of Jacksonville, FL; as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Gus was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 5-7pm at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2013 at 2pm, also at the funeral home, with Doug Westfall officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
