News Death Notice

TRIMBLE, Charles E. "Pete" 67, of Springfield, lost his battle with Diabetes on December 11, 2012, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 6, 1945, in Springfield, OH to Charles E. and Ruth M. (Stidam) Trimble, Sr. Pete graduated from Springfield South High School and then served in the U.S. Marine Corp. After being discharged, he began his career as a machinist at Lockheed Aircraft Corp., and then returned to Springfield to work briefly for the Robbins & Myers Co. before moving on to International Harvester. There for 33 years, Pete was everybody's friend-serving as committeeman, union steward, and insurance/pension rep. In addition, he was elected and served as the second vice president (one term) and first vice president (one term) for Local 402 Union. During his career he earned his Plumbing License and his Pilot's License. Upon retiring, Pete owned and operated Trimble Bail Bonds. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 397, Moose Lodge, and Mason's, St. Andrews Lodge (32nd Degree). Survivors include his dedicated wife of 20 years, Marti (Decker); a daughter, Robyn (Eric) Hennigan; four stepchildren, Dawn Brink, Alisa Music, Joe Redmon and John Redmon; two grandchildren, Kara and Ryan Hennigan; eight stepgrandchildren; three step great grandchildren; three sisters, Sherry (Robert) Rennard, Jeannie Smith and Connie (Randy) Morrison; and Pete's cherished cats, Trixie, Buster and Rascal. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kari Patrick. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Jamie Noel officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League and/or Hospice of Dayton.
