RATLIFF, Joyce Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on October 6, 2018 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Joyce was born in Wellington, Kentucky on January 13, 1946. She was the oldest daughter of Theda (Murphy) Watson and Willie P. Watson. She was a paralegal for 30 years with the Singer law firm. She enjoyed travelling to all 50 states and other locations with her husband of 53 years, John. Joyce had a passion for spending time with her family and friends. She loved watching Ohio State football games with her husband, and going to various festivals with her daughters. She spent most of her life supporting her children and grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her husband, John; three children, Carol (Bob) Kelley, Debbie Bodden and John (Tasha) Ratliff; and six grandchildren, Bobby (Michelle) Kelley, Stephen Kelley, Mitchell Bodden, Christian Bodden, Brett Bodden and Kaleb Ratliff. Joyce is also survived by three brothers, Garry (Debby) Watson, Larry (Eloise) Watson, and Jimmy (Nikki) Watson; brother and sisters-in-law, Tom (Dee) Ratliff, Harriett (Jim) Stewart, and Lowell (Cindi) Kemplin; numerous nieces and nephews; and life-long friends, Kay, Faye, Beverly, Marsha and Kaye. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Theda; mother-in-law, Hazel Tewell; sister, Linda Masters; and special niece, Mandy Watson. Joyce will be greatly missed by the people that she touched with her love and kindness. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain Ed Bastien officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
