Raymond F. HORN

News Death Notice

HORN, Raymond F. 87, of Springfield, passed away Friday morning, June 28, 2013 in Forest Glen Health Campus. He was born in New Breman, Ohio on August 16, 1925, the son of the late Ortho and Esther (Lubekeman) Horn. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and continued his service in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a retired truck driver. Ray was a member of Berea Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wilma M. (Zedeker) Horn; three sons, Fritz Horn of Springfield, Mike (Betty) Brown of Cocoa, Florida and Bob (Linda) Downing of Springfield; a sister, Mary Lee Quinter of South Carolina; a nephew, Rick (Sue) Shiverdecker; and a niece, Paula Thornton. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Ray's funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Kinnett officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Enon Cemetery.
