TO Bob Wheeler's family and friends my sympathy to all of you over his passing. Bob and I were classmates at Northeastern. In these times we need to focus on Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident,I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" God Bless.

Bob will be dearly missed. He was always bragging about his family. All summer long no matter what my garden did,Bob would always show up with a big smile to share all the wonderful things he grew. He would always greet my dogs before saying hi to us.It was so nice to go to the garage and have him there in his chair telling us stories about Arnold his best friend. We will miss him so much, and feel so fortunate to have known him.

I remember when I lived next door to Bob in the little yellow house. When my family went through hard times we would come home to Bob mowing our yard, and sometimes my mom would tell me to mow the yard and I would walk outside and Bob had already done it. lol . Bob never asked for anything in return he was just one of the rare good people you will find in this world that finds joy in helping others. Something I always looked forword to after I joined the service was that 1st trip back to the catawaba store to see if Bob was still holding things down in Catawba! Bob is one of the last great men from a great generation that I think everyone can learn a little from. Bob you will truly be missed, watch over us all.

Bob was one of the very first people Tom and I met when we moved to Catawba over 12 years ago. He always had a smile, a joke, vegetables or a family story to share. He even cut or grass once when we had mower problems. He will be sadly missed by many many people. It is not the same walking to the store and passing his house knowing that he has moved to heaven. We saw Bob at Jackie Fultz's Funeral just last month. Who knew... well... we will dearly miss you Bob! Please extend our sympathies to all family and dear friends of Bob's. Much Love, Tom and Beckie Neff- friends and neighbors; Catawba
