News Death Notice

HAZLETT, Mary Margaret 56, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Eaglewood Village after suffering many years with Alzheimer's disease. She was born February 27, 1957 in Springfield the daughter of Edward and Mary "Wheezzer" Sanders Picard. Mary was a devoted wife and mother and loved being near water, spending time with her grandchildren and cross-stitching. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Steve Hazlett; sons, Kenneth (Susan) Hazlett, Zachary (Jillian) Hazlett and Tyler Hazlett; two granddaughters, Raven and Tayler Hazlett; sister, Edie (Rick) Vince; nephews, Derrick Vince and Isaac Sanders and niece, Cameren Sanders. Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother, father, stepfather and brother, Ed Sanders. A private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

I have never met anyone that loved life & children like Mary ; she was an Earth Angel. Her strength she had fighting Alzheimer's is now complete. God has BLESSED her with wings to fly free. No longer alone ; God has embraced her in his arms. She is now at peace.

We will remember Mary as the wonderful, beautiful, fun-loving woman we met 25 years ago at Kenwood.
