News Death Notice

NORFLEET, Evangelist Beverly A. 68, of Springfield, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 13, 2013. She was born May 18, 1945 in Springfield a daughter of Tipp and Alberta (Nelson) Mays. Evangelist Norfleet was a praying woman and truly loved the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Larry Norfleet; a son, Michael Wright; two daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Berrien and Erica Wright; stepson, James Norfleet; stepdaughter, Valerie Norfleet; two brothers, Fred (Louise Wilson, significant other) Mays and Clarence (Emma) Mays; two sisters, Shirley Gladney and Sheila Mays; 8 grandchildren, Oriane, Tiont, Amber, Colby, Christopher, Ava, A'ryah and Robbie; 4 great grandchildren, K'day, Zyaaron, Taylor and Alona and a number of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; her home healthcare nurses, Cassandra Perkins, Delores Carter and Mary Smoot and her home healthcare aides, Kim Barker, Delores Carter and Mary Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jermaine; 5 brothers, Edwin H. Mays, Alan "Buck" Mays, Edward Mays, former Yellow Springs Police Chief, James McKee, Clifford Mays and two sisters, Janet White and Emma Mays. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with the family present at 12 noon in Trydestone Missionary Baptist Church, 1710 Damascus Avenue, Darryl A. Perry Sr., Pastor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

Mays, Norfleet family. So very sorry to learn of Berverly passing. She was a sweet, sweet spirit. Everytime I saw her she would say "Chee Chee" you staying prayed up? GOD is soon to come and we got to be ready.
She will surely be missed. I pray precious memories will give you peace in the this time of sorrow. Praying for you all.
