Devin MARCHAL Obituary
MARCHAL, Devin Nathaniel 16, of West Liberty, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident in Champaign County. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on November 23, 2001, the son of Gary and Elizabeth (Beckley) Marchal who survive in West Liberty. He is also survived by two brothers; Treven and Jaden Marchal, both of West Liberty and two sisters; Ciera (Jeremy Jenkins) Marchal of Springfield, Kyerah Marchal of West Liberty, maternal grandparents; Randel (Lesa) Beckley of Raymond, Dorothy (Frank) Lewis of Marysville, paternal grandparents; James (Eileen) Marchal of St. Paris, many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, his girlfriend, Alexz Sabin of Springfield, his Scoutmasters, Tom Irick and Chuck Overly, and his Scout #182 and St. Patrick Church Youth Group families . He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Marchal in 1988 and his adopted grandparents, Don and Adele Detwiller. Devin was a Junior at West Liberty-Salem High School and was enrolled in the College Prep program through Wright State University and also participated in the Marching and Concert Bands and Science Olympiad. He was active in Boy Scouts, where he was working towards his Eagle Scout. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where he was active in the youth group. Devin will be remembered as a fun-loving student at West Liberty-Salem who enjoyed spending time and having fun with his friends. He left his imprints on the world and brought all of us along on his journey. Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 1:30 to 3:30 and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery (Piatt Cemetery), Monroe Twp. A West Liberty-Salem Band Foot Steps Memorial Celebration will be on Saturday, October 13, at 12noon at the West Liberty-Salem Band Practice Field. In lieu of flowers, the Marchal family requests memorial contributions be made to the Marchal Family Education Fund, c/o Peoples Savings & Loan, 110 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, Ohio 43357 or through the funeral home.
