Homer BURKETT Obituary
BURKETT, Homer Eugene "Gene" Age 79 of Fairborn, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and obtained the rank of Airman First Class in four years. Gene was vice-president of Gannett Software and a certified public accountant. He was a member of Salem Church of God and attended Maple Avenue Church of God. He was a member of the Darke County Rotary Club and an avid photographer. He is survived by his loving partner: Joy Bazill of Fairborn, children: Todd (Terri) Burkett of NY, Cheryl (Darrin) Bigony of Tipp City, Kevin (Amy) Burkett of TX, step children: Bonnie (Steve) Davis of Vandalia, Jill (Pete) Nico of AZ, Mark (Amy) Bazill of VA, grandchildren: Ethan Bigony, Maxon Burkett, Madison Burkett, Miana Burkett, Hudson Burkett, Matthew Wiesner, Moriah (Wiesner) Chapman, and Micah Wiesner, brother: David (Carla) Burkett of IN, sister: Darlene (Ronald) Shearer of Englewood, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Olie (Hilbun) Burkett. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Englewood.
