Lavonda SNOW Obituary
SNOW, Lavonda E. "Bonnie" Passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born in Hayden, Indiana on July 24, 1917. She was the daughter of Robert and Bertha Stanton. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1935 and then worked as a proofreader at the Springfield News-Sun for several years. She was married for 62 years to Larned D. Snow who preceded her in death on March 28, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Stanton, Jr., a son, Ronald Snow, an infant daughter, Michelle Diane and an infant grandson, Matthew Christopher Snow. She was a member of First Christian Church where she served as a teacher and then superintendent of the Junior Department for 45 years. She was a volunteer at Community Hospital for 40 years where she served as chairman of Patient Registration Volunteers. She was also a poet with poems published in the Springfield News-Sun, several national books of poetry, two in London, England and several on the internet. Survivors include 2 children Saundra (Sunny) (Louis) Faust, and Mark (Harriet) Snow, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at First Christian Church in Springfield, OH, Saturday, November 10, 2018. Public visitation will be at 1:00, with services at 2:00. Burial site will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to , 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508 or the building fund at First Christian Church, 3638 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, OH 45502.
