Winton SMITH Obituary
SMITH, Winton James Age 53, passed away at UC Medical Center on Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born July 20, 1965 to the late Winton and Netha (Baker) Smith in Hamilton, Ohio. Winton married his soulmate Tracy Ballerino on February 14, 1990. He was previously employed by Valley Janitor Supply Co., Plant Equipment, Ket-Moy Printing and most recently, BCRTA. Winton was a beloved husband, son, uncle and friend to many. He enjoyed antique cars and trucks, watching Ohio State football and spending quality time with his wife, Tracy and their Goldendoodle, Lacey Grace. Winton is survived by wife Tracy; mother Netha Smith; in-laws Roger and Julie Ballerino; sisters Norma Sackenheim and Lisa Mellott; sister-in-law Kelly Ballerino; nephews Brett Mellott and Jackson Dumas; nieces Niki Betts and Viki Jacobs; great Nieces Savannah Jacobs and Madison Mellott; great nephews Thomas Jacobs and Eli Betts along with many friends, co-workers and riders on BCRTA. He was preceded in death by his father Winton Smith and grandparents. Winton had a gentle soul and a loving, generous spirit that will never diminish. He will be truly and deeply missed. The family wants to extend a deep gratitude and thanks to the staff at UC Medical Center and the CVICU department for the compassionate way they treated Winton. Friends, family and others whose life was touched by Winton may join us at Ivey Funeral Home at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2565 Princeton Rd Hamilton, Ohio 45011 on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 11am-1pm with service to follow at 1pm which Pastor Bill Haley will be officiating.
