News Death Notice

KISTNER, Brandon Eli 42, of Hollister, California and formerly of Mexico, Missouri and Springfield, Ohio, died on March 28, 2014. He was born in Maywood, Illinois, the son of Jolela Rae VanDyne, Elige Kistner, John Breden and Oakley VanDyne. Brandon leaves behind his wife, Danell Kistner of Hollister; Janda Mae of Plant City, Florida; Cheyenne Autumn, Megan Renae, Danna Jolela, Calyx Miranda and Hayden Donna Marie, all at home; sisters Loreene (Roger) Hottenstein of Springfield, Ohio and Melyna (Donnie) Farris of Mexico, Missouri; brother Bob Breden (Kristine) of Shelbina, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Jolela; father Elige; his grandparents; and his favorite dog, Bones. Brandon loved to fish, play guitar, fly RC helicopters and gaze at the stars. In his youth he enjoyed running, baseball, and boxing and was accepted into the deaf community in both Fulton, Missouri and Springfield, Ohio. Brandon had a passion for talking and never met a stranger. No doubt he touched many people in his short time on this Earth. Services for Brandon will be conducted on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2 P.M. at Ferncliff Cemetery Chapel, 501 W. McCreight Avenue, Springfield, Ohio 45504 with visitation from 1 P.M. until service time, with burial to follow. A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2 P.M. at the Church of God Holiness, 1215 West Boulevard Street, Mexico, Missouri 65265. Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Brandon to Donate Life California, 3465 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 410, San Diego, California 92108, Attention: Reina or to the Love4JLK.org website.
