BEALL SR., Leonard 85 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday July 6, 2011 at 1:15 A.M. in his residence. He was born June 9, 1926 in Smithfield, Ohio the son of Joseph and Virgie (Smitj) Bell. He graduated from Smithfield High School. Leonard joined the army in 1944 and obtained the rank of Specialist First Class. He retired from GH&R Foundry with 34 yearrs and Elderly United of Clark Counthy with 10 years.. Leoanard leaves to celebrate his life a faithful and loving companion, Twana Burton and her children. His three children, Lyra (Christy) Bailey, Leonard (Michael) Beall and Susan "Sue" Jackson. Three grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother, Robert "Bob" Beall of Las Vegas, NV, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth G. Beall, a daughter, Karen D. Beall ,four brthers,, one sister and one niece. His body was entrusted to the D.B. Washington Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace (323-4555) 1530 S. Yellow Springs Street, where friends may call after 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 12, 2011 with his family present from 12:00 noon unitl time of services at 1:00 P.M . with Rev. Clara Boyd Williams, assistant pastor of Restored Life Ministries, officiating. Interement will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park with military honors.
