CARR, Wilbur Whitford "Jack" passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. He was born on March 15, 1924, in Springfield, Ohio to Della M. (Smith) and Wilbur H. Carr. A 1942 graduate of Springfield High School, Wilbur served in the U.S. Army and later attended Wittenberg University. After serving 34 years as a Credit Analyst, Wilbur retired from Frigidaire/General Motors. Wilbur was a 65 year member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research where he served as a Teacher and a Superintendent. Wilbur was a competitive Mall Walker at the Upper Valley Mall where he was often praised for his speed. Wilbur cherished Murdith, his wife, for nearly 67 years of married life and a total of 69 years as a couple. He was a dog-lover and the proud owner of Brownie and Willie. He is survived by: His Wife: Murdith Laursa (Stewart) Carr, His son: Ronald Carr: His Daughter: Anita (Stephen) Perrin; His Grandchildren: Veronica Alati, Angela (Gale) Pace, and Stephen (Grace) Perrin; Great-Grandchildren: Jessica Carr, Hadley Pace, and Hanna Pace, Special Friends: Oliver and LaJune Gill. Wilbur was preceded in death by: His parents; His brothers: Richard Carr and William Carr; His Sister: Orpha Richardson; His Niece: Alisha Sanford. Wilbur donated his body to Wright State University. In accordance with his wishes, no memorial will be held. Aside from his loving wife Murdith, the love of his life was Yahshua The Messiah, his savior. Yahshua means Yahweh is Salvation.
