News Death Notice
PELFREY, Brandon Cody 19, of Catawba died Saturday, January 5, 2013. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 12, 1993, the son of Terry and Christine Pelfrey. Brandon was a graduate of Northeastern High School. He loved working on tractors, farm machinery, and diesel 4x4 trucks. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Betty E. Pelfrey. Survivors include his parents of Catawba; brother Blain Pelfrey of Catawba; grandfather Willis Pelfrey of Catawba; grandparents Richard K. and Gloria Blain of Springfield; Aunts and Uncles Jon & Mel Blain, Rich Blain, Tom & Jackie Pelfrey, Tracey Pelfrey, Toby Pelfrey, Tawnya (Eric McCabe) Pelfrey, and Rob & Tangee Hepp; cousins Breanne, Courtney, and Haygan Blain and Michael and Travis Pelfrey; best friends Jordan Paul, Niles Tackett, Dillan Saddler, Ian Johnson, and many more. A gathering will be Friday from 2-4 & 6-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A service to honor Brandon's life will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:30AM in the Memorial Home with Rev. Jeff Mullinix officiating. Burial to follow in McConkey Cemetery, Catawba. Brandon was a fun kid to have in class and he always talked to me about his Aunt Tangee. When he wrote in class it was most generally about cars and trucks and how to fix them. I learned a lot from Brandon and his smile and laughter brightened my room. Praying for you all. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you have of such a sweet young man.

I will always remember Brandon as the little kid coming into the Catawba store when I worked there. However, my best memories are of the great friend he was to my brother. He taught Dylan so much and vice versa. He was always there for him and my cousin Ian and always helped my family out. He was just at my house Friday to help my mom and I. I will never forget how he teased my dad. He will be greatly missed. My heart breaks for his family and close friends. Rest in Peace dear Brandon.
