News Death Notice
BURR, Mary Ann 88, of Springfield, passed away on November 8, 2015. Mary Ann was born on July 4, 1927 in Springfield to William H. and Jackaline (Cartzdafner) Cooney. She had been employed as a Secretary for the Clark County Prosecutor's Office for a number of years. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and Catholic Ladies of Columbia # 207. Survivors include two daughters, Shelly Vacchiano of Beavercreek and Marilyn Burr of Springfield; a step daughter, Kathy Bowers, Springfield; a sister, Rita Copeland of Springfield; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several step-great -grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Burr in 1978, a step daughter, Carole Hoak and a great grandson. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Dear Springfield Family,
We, the Carr's of Cleveland have spent some awesome times & sad times with all of you especially from 1991 to 1999. We have buried PJ's parents & brother there in Springfield, our daughter Kelley spent 4 yrs at Wittenberg, we've eaten olive bread at the best Italian restaurant, celebrated Kelley's graduation, and eaten numerous meals at Mary Ann's dinner table. These years were the best and we will always fondly look back at the great friendship & love we all shared. We were so lucky you shared your family & Mary Ann with us. Love to all of you!

Dear Rita,
I am sorry to read about Mary Ann. We used to live next door to you at 718 when I was 3 years old. I remember you, Mary Ann & your Mother.
Then my Aunt Ruth, Uncle Howard, Marilyn & Kathleen lived into the house after the war.
I am sending Marilyn, who lives in El Paso & Kathleen, who lives in Tulsa, a note to let them know.
