Kenneth Bria Obituary

Bria, Kenneth
Kenneth F. Bria, a longtime resident of Norwalk, passed away comfortably in his home on Tuesday, June 11. He was 62. Born in Stamford on July 8, 1950, to the late Frank Bria and Josephine D'Ienzo, Kenny enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his loving wife, Sandy Bria, and adoring daughter, Kendra Bria. Kenny's zest for life and compassionate personality would light up any room he stepped foot in, and when he wasn't whipping up a masterpiece spread, the top chef enjoyed getting away to Florida with close family friends and rooting for his NY Giants and UConn women's basketball team. Ken was a proud Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. In addition to Sandy and Kendra, Kenny is also survived by his brother Richard Bria and sister-in-law Donna Bria, and brother Robert Bria and sister-in-law Maureen Bria. Kenny was also survived by his sister in law Barbara Lovallo and brother-in-law Jimmy Lovallo. He had many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the Stamford Hospital for all of their professional care and support over the last few months. In addition, the family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, who provided him with tremendous support and care so that he could be at home with his family. If you would like to say goodbye and celebrate the wonderful life of Kenny, the family will host calling hours at Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Ken's name to the charity of one's choice. Please visit www.norwalkfh.com for more information and to send a condolence to the Bria family.

Kenny touched so many lives and will be dearly missed. He absolutely did light up a room. Although I have not seen him in decades, I remember him well. His laugh was contagious! God is blessed to have Kenny as his Angel. May our loving Lord surround both of you with peace and love.

Sandy and Kendra,
Kenny was a huge part of my life; he guided me with advice and skills that will be with me for my life time. Anything I ever needed he always had an idea or a way to do that made it an awesome event. Kendra he always gleamed when we talked about you, school and how proud he was when you bought your condo. The way he worried about me and my sleep apnea. Or how he would call me to tell me he was hanging out at your pool. He was truly one of the greatest friends I ever had. If ever you need anything please never think twice to call me and ask there is nothing I wouldn't do for you. My you have and keep the great memories of love, life and happiness.
