FLORENCE E. ROSENBERG (nee RICH) - 84, the widow of Dr. Charles Rosenberg, and long time resident of Stamford, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, after a courageous battle with Parkinsons.

She was the loving mother of Kenneth D. Rosenberg, M.D., his wife Gail, and grandson Alexander, of Portland, Oregon, and daughter and son-in-law, Ina and Jeffrey Garten, of New York and East Hampton.

Florence Rosenberg was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and interned as a nutritionist at N.Y. Montefiore Hospital. She was a Docent at the Whitney Museum and she and her husband were active in many of the cultural organizations and Jewish philanthropies of Fairfield County, and donors of the Stamford General Hospital.

Mrs. Rosenberg was a "Renaissance Woman", with strong interests in sculpture, the opera, architecture, orchids, fencing and tennis, nutrition, astronomy and literature.

We mourn the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. Our loss is great.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 10, at Temple Beth El, Stamford, CT.
