Mugan, John M.
Fiskdale, MA - John M. Mugan, 94, of 7 Crescent Way, passed away peacefully in Harrington Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Stamford, CT where he resided until moving to Holland, MA. John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jo-Anne (Pfrommer), their daughter Dorothy & her husband James Booth of Brookfield, his daughter Linda Ley of Kent, CT and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Jessica Booth of Brookfield. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents James & Delia (Mullen) Mugan and siblings James, Joseph, Harold, Walter, Katherine and Helen. He was predeceased by his first wife, Sophie. John served his country in World War II in the Army in the European Theatre for four years. He retired from the US Postal Service in 1981. John was a lifetime member of the Holland Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, gardening, walking and football. He will be greatly missed by his family and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. A calling hour will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, from 10-11AM, at Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge, MA followed by a funeral home service at 11AM. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery.
