Frank Minucci Obituary

Minucci, Frank
Frank Minucci, 71, of Watertown and Deerfield Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at his home in Watertown. He was the loving and devoted husband of Betty (Lafreniere) Minucci.
Frank was born in Waterbury, May 13, 1943, son of the late Frank L. and Beatrice (Laneville) Minucci. He was raised in Watertown and graduated from WF Kaynor Technical School in Waterbury. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and he and Betty settled in Northfield where they lived and raised their family before setting up dual residency in Watertown and Deerfield Beach, Fla. A toolmaker by trade, he worked for Risdon Mfg. and Winchester Electronics in Conn., and Seigel Robert in Pompano Beach, Fla. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Litchfield.
Frank loved being outdoors. He enjoyed being active and walking, especially along the beach. He enjoyed fishing, and boating. He liked to play poker and started a poker club in Fla. He loved animals. He was a kind, generous, and loving man, whose dream was to open a soup kitchen. He cherished his family and his friends and was always available when someone needed help—whether it was changing a light bulb, fixing something around the house, or just a shoulder to lean on—he had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves his son, David Minucci and his wife, Christine, of Northfield; his daughter, Debra Stella and her husband, Carl, of Stamford; his sister, Nancy Synkewecz of Plymouth; two grandchildren, Megan Minucci and Michael Minucci; many nieces and nephews; his most beloved grand dogs, Tucker, Bentley, Penny Fancesca, and Marley Butters; and an amazing amount of friends in both Connecticut and Florida.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Judy Quatrano.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning 9 a.m. from Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown, to St. Anthony of Padua Church in Litchfield for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening 5-8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Watertown Food Bank, in care of Watertown Social Services Dept., 51 Echo Lake Road, Watertown, CT 06795 or to Animal Rescue Foundation, 366 Main Street, Terryville, CT 06786.
