Mary Martinelli Obituary

Mary Ellen Martinelli
Born on November 9, 1955 to the late Andrew and Irma Martinelli, Mary Ellen Martinelli, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on April 16 surrounded by family and friends. Shortly after graduating from Westhill High School in 1974, Mary spent the next 40 years as a dedicated employee of Pitney Bowes. After retiring, Mary took on the role as loving care provider to her mom.
Mary was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She gave everyone "the attention they deserved". A larger-than-life spirit, she brought so much joy to all who knew her and spent much of her life laughing, singing and making other people happy. Mary has left a void that cannot be filled.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved boyfriend, Pandeli (Pandi) Tika; her sisters Andrea Martinelli, Carole Schermann (Ken), Susan Brockett (Dave); her brothers, Daniel Martinelli and Nicholas Martinelli. Others who will smile when remembering Mary include her niece, Sarah Falcone (Steve); nephews, Daniel Martinelli (Krista), Barry Delmonico (Kristen), Stephen Delmonico, Jason Martinelli, Ryan Brockett and Matthew Brockett; great-nephew, Leo Delmonico and great-nieces, Drew and Gracie Martinelli and Andie Falcone; her aunt Patricia Perella, many cousins, her posse, "The Crows" (Cindy Lopiano, Mary Sabia O'Donnell, Mona Spinelli Mastrone and Patty Macari), and many, many other true friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Mary's joyous life will be held at a future date. Rather than making contributions, consider doing something nice for someone in Mary's memory…it will make her smile. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.lacerenzafh.com.

To the Martinelli Family and the people whose hearts Mary touched including mine...
Mary
You’ve enriched our lives more than you know, you brought us laughter, and taught us to grow

You touched the hearts of people you met
now you are someone we will never forget

You lived your life with style and grace these are the things we can’t replace but you now moved on to a better place

With care and devotion
you guided with love ...
But now shine upon us
from Heaven above.

It was your sweet, kind and gentle way that touched our hearts and it’s there you will stay

You were always there to lend a hand to those you loved and called your “clan”

The struggle was hard but your will was strong as we remember you thru your favorite song

Our hearts are broken beyond repair.
It can not measure the way you care!

The time has come to say good bye
It’s tears of love that we cry.

Til we meet again.. you leave behind family and many a friend

Rest Easy sweet Mary we know you are watching over us and we are sure to make you proud by paying it forward with kindness in your memory

I’m so sorry to hear about Mary. I knew her from Pitney Bowes. We had good times together. She always had a smile on her face and always very happy. She always saw the best in people. She was a good person and I will miss her not being at our yearly dinner with our Pitney Bowes friends at Pellicci’s. RIP Mary.

I had the amazing opportunity to meet Mary at Pitney Bowes and we became friends. Her smile lit up a room! She was always so positive and upbeat no matter what she was going through. Heaven certainly has another angel. You are gone too soon. Rest In Peace Mary.

I worked with Mary many years at Pitney Bowes. Always, always had a welcoming smile on her face. Was polite, generous with her time and always fulfilled a promise. I see her now arranging the seating for the angels in heaven. Gone too soon!
