Josephine (Pacelli) Stich, 81, formerly of Hazleton, passed away Oct. 5 in Midlothian, Va.

She was the wife of Edmund Stich. They were married 59 years.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Palma (Miraldo) Pacelli.

She was a graduate of Hazleton High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Reading. She was formerly employed as an operating room nurse at Hazleton General Hospital.

Before relocation to Virginia, she was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

She is survived by her husband, Edmund, daughter, Barbara Page and husband, Anthony, Raleigh, N.C., grandchildren, Weston Stich and Madeline Stich, Glen Allen, Va., daughter-in-law Courtney Stich, Glen Allen, Va., sister-in-law, Dolores Roman and her husband, Deacon Robert Roman; and numerous nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida.

She was predeceased by son, John Stich; brothers, Alfonso Pacelli and Peter Pacelli; and sisters, Ann Tolerico and Marie Cortez.

Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Most Precious Blood Church.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. COVID-19 restrictions will be in place.
