Carol A. Zalutko Obituary

Carol A. Zalutko, 73, of Drums passed away Monday morning at her home following a lengthy illness.

Born in Hazleton on Oct. 29, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Veronica (Worek) Bertolini and spent her entire life in Drums.

Carol had worked as an office manager for Martini Trucking, Drums. She was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums, and enjoyed crafting, gardening, cooking and camping.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother, James Bertolini.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Zalutko and his companion, Carol Claypotch; and Brian Zalutko, both of Drums; an adopted daughter, Lisa DuPee and her husband, Jay, East Greenville; a grandson, Keith St. Clair, Hazleton; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Keith; a brother, Richard Bertolini and his wife, Mary Gail, Drums; a sister, Vicki Savarese and her husband, Vincent, Centennial, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.

Friends are invited to call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
