Helen M. Brill Obituary

Helen M. Brill, 89, of Lattimer Mines, passed away early Wednesday morning in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.

A member of Queen of Heaven Parish, Hazleton, Helen was born in Lattimer Mines on Nov. 17, 1931. She was the daughter of the late William and Helen Patskin Generose.

Helen lived in many places such as Puerto Rico, Maryland, Virginia and Philadelphia while her late husband, John, was in the U.S. Navy. They resided in Lattimer Mines for many years to follow.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with her family and gathering for the holidays.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, John J. Brill Sr.; sister, Anna Matteo; and a brother, Robert Generose.

She is survived by her son, John Brill Jr. and his wife, Denise, Lattimer Mines; two daughters, Kathy Lloyd, Lattimer Mines; and Jean Dinsmore, Douglassville; six grandchildren, Kristin Macklin and her husband, Kenny; Beth Keller and her husband, Brad; Jeremy Dinsmore and his wife, Heather; Richard Wersinger; Andrew Brill; and Katie Lloyd; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Keller and Norah Dinsmore. Also surviving are four sisters, Mary Gross, Lattimer Mines; Rose Molinaro, Hazleton; Martha Kolarick; Janie Popiak, both of Beech Mountain; a brother, William Generose, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish at the church of Our Lady of Grace. COVID-19 precautions will be in place.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
