David M. Pogar, 66, of Hazleton passed away Sunday in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was born in Hazleton, son of the late Peter and Anna (Sterenchock) Pogar. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Hazleton. He was a 1977 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and was employed as a pharmacist at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton. David was an avid golfer, which he enjoyed. He is survived by his wife, the former Tamalee Belusko; his two children, Matthew Pogar and his wife, Sharon, Pottsville; and Sarah Pogar and her fiancé, Michael Fox, Hazle Twp.; one grandchild, Christian Pogar; his brother, Thomas Pogar, Hazleton; his sister, Mary Kay Pogar, Towson, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and safety concerns, funeral arrangements are being held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., Hazleton.
