Paul A. Stack Obituary

Paul A. Stack, 69, of Deer Run Road, West Hazleton, died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home.

Born in Shenandoah on April 13, 1951, he was the son of the late Alexander and Nellie (Tomalinas) Stack.

Paul graduated from J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, and went on to attend Penn State University, Scuylkill County. Throughout his life, he was employed as a production manager for various manufacturing plants in the area. Most recently, following his retirement, he worked for Enterprise Rental, Hazle Twp.

Paul had always been active and was a dedicated runner in his early years. Later in life, on his days off, he could be found walking nearly five miles on area trails to make sure he "got his steps in." He enjoyed adventures outdoors: camping, fishing and hunting. He liked vacations, going to the beach and especially taking his almost weekly trips to Knoebels throughout the summers. He also had a huge interest in cars and enjoyed detailing his car and spending time at various car shows.

Paul had a strong work ethic and was willing to help anyone out when they needed it. He loved dogs, especially his daughter's golden retriever, Max, who was a frequent walking buddy. He was a dedicated and beloved father to Paul and Elizabeth. He tried to never miss a game of theirs starting from Little League all the way through Paul's football career at Lafayette. He viewed his grandchildren as the light of his life and will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death only by his parents.

Surviving are his son, Paul J. Stack, his wife, Melissa, and their children, Katelyn and Thomas, Nazareth; daughter, Elizabeth Stack, Tresckow; sister, Sandra Krushin and her husband, Joe, Florida; and companion, Cheryl Sabol, Hazleton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton. The Rev. Brian Clarke will celebrate the Mass.

Burial will take place in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah.

Friends may call for a visitation period that will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Butler Chapel of Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 530 West Butler Drive, Drums.
