Margaret M. Kleban, 95, of Hazle Twp. passed away Monday afternoon at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazle Twp., where she had resided. She was born in Hazleton, daughter of the late John and Mary (Tarapchak) Kovalick. She was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kleban, in 2000; her son, Edward Kleban, in 2016; and brothers and sisters, Steve, John Jr., Michael, Joseph, Bernard, Eugene, Monica Mae Kovalick, Helen Gochalla and Irene Bunk. She is survived by her two children, Rosemary Chelini and her husband, Edward, Hazleton; Joseph Kleban and his wife, Sandra, Hazleton; sisters and a brother, Lorraine Tarapchak, Hazleton; Betty Gerhard and her husband, Thomas, Weatherly; Peter Kovalick and his wife, Ethel, Beaver Meadows; two grandsons, Joseph Kleban and his wife, Danielle, and David Kleban; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's B.C. Church, Hazleton. COVID-19 regulations will apply. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, viewing will be held at the convenience of family. Arrangements are under the direction of Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., Hazleton.
