Rose M. Chisari, 93, of Hazle Twp. passed away peacefully Tuesday at Providence Place, Drums. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Rose (Privetena) Grasso. She attended art school in New York City, where she met her husband, Andrew Chisari. Rose was a content housewife who loved her family, enjoyed baking, sewing clothing for herself and others and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She read the Bible faithfully every day. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Andrew Chisari, in 1993; a brother, Angelo Grasso; a sister, Angelina Grasso; sons-in-law, Myron Metrick and Robert Bailey; and a grandson, Robert Bailey. Surviving are daughters, Laura Bailey, Hazle Twp.; Diane Metrick, Hazle Twp.; grandchildren, Christina Pickens and husband, Todd; Alicia Summers and husband, Nathan; Brian Corey and wife, Christine; Nathan Corey; Amanda Kinney and husband, Michael; great-grandchildren, Eathan, Ean, Katalina, Skylar and Claire. Several nieces and nephews, and Randy Thompson, a companion to deceased grandchild Robert Bailey, also survive. The Rev. Beverly Meneely will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday at McHugh-Wilczek Funeral Home, 249 Centre St., Freeland. Entombment will be in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, N.J. At the family's request, all services will be private.
