With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dorothy Dutz, our loving mother, grandmother and friend. Dorothy possessed a special beauty and joyfulness that she shared with everyone she met. She enjoyed making everyone smile with her bubbly personality which reflected her colorful clothes and glamorous jewelry. Upon hearing of her passing, a dear friend remarked that "Dorothy was a sassy, smart, lovable lady. She took everything that was thrown at her with such grace and spirit." Although arthritis confined her to a wheelchair, her hands stayed strong from crocheting every day. She made lap blankets for veterans at the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre as a testament to their brave service. Dorothy treasured her children and embraced every moment with her son, Bernie and his wife, Diane; daughter, Jeannine Blase and husband, Fred; daughter, Dedy Billig and husband, Brian; and son, Danny. Her seven loving grandchildren, Charlie, Lexi, Gina, Tori, Ricky, Brian and Marisa, will miss her warm embrace and bright spirit. Dorothy's parents, Bernard and Mary Dunoski; her husband, Eugene; her son, Joseph; and her grandson, Adam, preceded her in death. Dorothy will be honored during a memorial Mass at the family's convenience. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Annunciation Monastery, 403 W. County Road, Sugarloaf Twp., PA 18249.
