Susan Collins
Cayuta - Susan (Parrott) Collins, 71, of Cayuta, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at home. She was born in Elmira on January 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Judd and Lulu (Hull)Parrott and graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School. She married Merle Collins on May 30, 1964 in Cayuta, NY.
Sue was retired from food service and retail. She belonged to the Senior Bowling League, and loved fishing on the St. Lawrence with her husband, Merle. She also loved deer hunting, riding four wheeler, crocheting, bird watching, puzzles, dominos, and playing cards. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog Toby.
Sue is survived by her husband of 53 years, Merle Collins; two sons, Mark (Lisa) Collins of Alpine and John (Shannon) Collins of Cayuta; three daughters, Carol (David) Marsh of Alpine, Donna (Robert) Angle of Cayuta, and Christina (Joseph) Zimmer of Montour Falls; a brother, Raymond (Joanne) Parrott of McAllen, TX; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda (Donald) Gunning, and brother, Franklin (Sandy) Parrott.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Funeral services will be private.
