Stoner, Naomi C. Gorham

Formerly of Horseheads, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 15, 2014, in Lowman at the age of 81 while resting in her chair with her loving family at her side. Naomi was born on July 2, 1932, in Lock Haven, PA, daughter of the late Raymond & Naomi Messner Gorham. She married the love of her life, Sheldon Stoner, in 1953. Together they spent their lives serving the Lord and laboring in the Southern Tier Church of Christ, 351 E. Thurston St., Elmira, NY 14901 where family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 22, 2014, between the hours of 10 - 12 noon. Funeral services will follow the visitation time at 12 noon. Also a memorial service will take place at the church on Sunday morning at 10:30. Naomi was a devoted mother and homemaker. Her many interests included crafts, gardening, volunteering, and traveling to visit her large family who cherish her memory. She is survived by her eight children: Ruth & Gene Johnson, Tucson, AZ; Lois & David Elliott, Lawrence, MA; John & Nancy Stoner, Lowman; David & Joyce Stoner, Mooresville, IN; Mary Brock, Tucson, AZ; Phillip & Penelope Stoner, Elmira; Rebecca & James Paul, Breesport; James & Elizabeth Stoner, Union City, MI; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, many nieces, nephews, and a loving church congregation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Southern Tier Church of Christ, 351 E. Thurston Street, Elmira, NY 14901 in Naomi's memory.
