William A. "Bill" Tuton, born September 28, 1915, passed away peacefully December 8, 2012. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Helene. He is also predeceased by his parents, Thompson and Lena Tuton; brother, Allen; and sister, Annabell Keeney. Bill, a gentle and quiet man, lived the simple life living one day at a time. He was a WWII field medic. Bill and Helene shared the love for square dancing for many years with several senior groups. Bill is survived by his son, Robert (Mary Oberther); daughter, Jeannie (Paul) Wright; and former daughter-in-law, Carol Tuton of Montour Falls. He is also survived by his grandsons, Michael and Ryan Tuton, Kyle and granddaughter, Katelyn (Brian Porter) Wright; he enjoyed his grandchildren a lot. When they were younger his saying was "A grandparent's job is to spoil their grandchildren and send them home." Bill enjoyed playing cards and board games with the family. It never failed, he always won. Bill will be greatly missed by his family.
