Millport,NY - Joseph L. Sullivan age 78 of Millport, NY passed away on Saturday January 9, 2021. Joseph was born March 1, 1942 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Joseph and Susan Spaulding Sullivan. He was a Veteran of The Vietnam War serving his country with The U.S. Air Force. Joe had worked for Southern Tier Hide and Tallow and retired from AirGas in Elmira, New York. He loved hunting and fishing . Joe loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Joe is survived by his children Howard J. and Patty Sloan II of Penn Yan, NY ; Cynthia and James Dillon of Marshall, Michigan ; Phyllis and Doug Vickers of Atlanta, Georgia ; John L. Sullivan and Michelle Ballings of Millport, NY , and Crissy Sullivan of Horseheads, NY ; grandchildren: Michael and Ashley Dillon , Andrew and Teresa Dillon, Joseph and Amanda Martin, Jennifer Jones, Michelle and Adam Travis, Thomas Phillips III, Stephanie and Timothy Mucci, Katelyn Sloan, Kelsey Sullivan, Justin Evans, Megan Sullivan, and Brady Metcalf; 12 great grandchildren ; sister: Kathleen (Mrs. Michael) Fesh of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday January 15, 2021 from 2-4 PM. Full Military Honors will be held at the Funeral Home following calling hours. A Time of Remembrance and Reflections of Joe's Life will follow calling hours. Joe will be laid to rest in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY. Words of Condolence and Memories may be shared at www.lynchsfuneralhome.com .

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Larry. He was my first love, I went to high school with him at Notre Dame. He was such a hero, I was so hoping Our paths would cross again at a reunion....It looks like he had a wonderful loving family...He was truly blessed, a wonderful wonderful man.
