Minnette Salsburg Obituary
Age 97, formerly of Elmira, NY. died on Thursday January 5, 2012 in Brevard, NC. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at Congregation Kol Ami, 1008 W. Water St. on Sunday Jan. 8, at 1:30 p.m. Rabbi Miriam Biatch and Abraham Golos officiating. Interment will follow in Temple B'nai Israel Cemetery Elmira. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to a charity of one's choice. Minnette is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Steven Salsburg and Mindy Elzufon of Pine City, NY; daughters and son-in-law, Susan Rousselle of Brevard, NC; Trudi and Alex Porter of Pinehust, NC; grandchildren, Ari(Jennifer) Salsburg, Risa Salsburg, Rebecca (Said) Rousselle, Bernard (Traci) Porter, Joshua (Michele) Porter and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survivng are a brother, Charles Michlosky, sisters-in-law, Betty Klapper and Evelyn Berger and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Tiba Michlosky, loving husband, Samuel Salsburg and sister, Roslyn Pearlman. Minnette was born December 2, 1914 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was Vice President of Rays Jewelers of Elmira and active in Temple B'nai Israel and it's Sisterhood. ARRANGEMENTS BY BAKER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME.

I was so fond of Minnette and glad that Jon and I got to see her at Betty's 90th birthday party, though that was six years ago. Minnette always made me feel like part of the family and always had a smart and funny comment to make. It made me happy just to be in the same room with her. I can only imagine how much you will miss her.

Minnette was absolutely loved by so many my family just adored her. She was the kind of person who made you glad that you were blessed enough to know them and brought joy to your heart when you think of fond memories you have with them. You dont need to be famous to make your mark on some ones life just have the spirit Minnette had .you are in my thoughts and prayers

It's the way she wanted this obituary --- simple and to the point. There aren't the right words, anyway.... to describe how much we all loved you... to share what an inspiration you were to so many people... and to truly tell your story - how graceful, dignified, and loving you were.
