William Dove Obituary
Age 65, of Sarasota, FL and formerly of Elmira, NY, went to be with our Lord on December 21, 2008. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley Decker Dove; and parents, Gloria and William Dove, Sr. Survived by sons, William Dove, III, and Ray Dove of Sarasota, Fred (Fritz) Dove, Rodney Dove, and Vincent Dove of Elmira; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Frederick Dove and Kenneth Dove of Elmira, and Gary Dove of Horseheads; sisters, Donna Dove Horton and Karen Dove Bohart of Elmira; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bill was a Naval veteran and will be interred in Sarasota National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

TO THE DOVE FAMILY;SO SORRY TO HEAR OF BILL'S PASSING.BILL WAS SO GOOD TO ME & MY CHILDREN AFTER MY DAVE'S DEATH. HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME AND I WILL MISS HIM. I am truly sorry for the Dove familys loss. My heart goes out to all of you. Bill will be missed so much. I have many memories, Good and Bad, Happy and Sad. Most of all we became good friends,and im so glad for that. I will miss him so much.

I was very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I have many fond memories of the "LaFrance St" boys when we were young. My thoughts and prayers are with Bill's family.

Boys; There's word's not enough word's I can say to tell you how sorry I am that your father died.
but let me tell you this he was like a second father to me after my dad died, and I couldn't have had a better man for the job. He was a great man your father and I will miss him terriblly.

Daddy Dove, I know we lost touch for a while, but I loved you and respected you more than my own dad. We had so many great times. My love and prayers go out to Rodney,Ray,Vinnie,Billy and Fritz, and everyone else who loves you.
