Marjorie Lant Obituary
Horseheads - Age 64 of Horseheads, NY. She was born October 11, 1953 in Elmira, daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth (Banks) Lant and passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother David and niece Jill. She is survived by her siblings and their spouses Carolyn and David Post of Hobart, NY, Walter and Ann Lant, Ross and Shirley Lant, Martin and Rhonda Lant, all of Horseheads, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Marjorie was a partner in the family farm, Lantland Farms in Horseheads and was a NYS Holstein Master Breeder. Her greatest joy was watching and teaching her nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews raising and showing their cattle. Prior to farming, Marjorie was a Registered Nurse with Schuyler Hospital. Family and friends are invited to visit Barber Funeral Home, 413 So. Main St., Horseheads on Sunday, September 2nd from 7 to 9 pm. Her funeral service will be held Monday, September 3rd at 11 am in the Pine Valley Methodist Church. Rev. Daniel Burgess will officiate.
