Tom and Judy:

Each day that I work as a trumpet player in Los Angeles, I am reminded of the huge part that Mrs. Herlevi played in my career. Thanks in great part to her efforts, she and I together hold a still standing record of twenty seven uninterrupted Superior ratings at the grade school , junior high and senior high district and state solo and ensemble contests in Ohio. Other fine pianists played the accompaniments for my various ensemble performances that are a part of that record, but with the exception of my initial performance (fourth grade, with Rosalee Gill), Mrs. Herlevi was the driving force, with my private instructor, Oliver Kaura, in all of the remaininmg solo contest performances. She pushed me very hard. It was well worth the effort. I owe her so very much. God speed, Mrs. Herlevi.

I still remember her bright smile in the office at T.J. and can hear her voice calling over the PA system. Your mother was a wonderful woman.

Judy & Tom: Your Mom was The Harbor Special Schools. She and your Dad certainly were valued members of the Harbor community. My sympathies to you and your families. May He who does all things well bring you comfort.

I am very sad at the passing of Mrs. Herlevi. What a fun lady. She will be missed by all her friends from the Harbor High Gals Luncheon. We will say a prayer for her family this May 6th.
